Did you know there are new rules regarding dogs entering the United States from Canada, which are coming into effect August 1, 2024? Some information about required documentation is still forthcoming, but here is what we understand the requirements to be so far:
- dogs must be at least 6 months of age;
- they must be in good health;
- they must have an internationally recognized microchip implant.
If you have plans to travel to the US after August 1 2024 and your pet is not microchipped, please contact us to arrange that. We are told we will have more information about required documentation as of July 18, 2024 and will provide an update at that time.
